Wirzba argues that being a creature means being in a relationship, so what are the implications of being in a relationship? As he states, we must be in a “membership of receiving, sharing, and offering again” (Wirzba 147). The idea also entails that creation will never fully be understood, but it is our duty to indicate one’s acceptance by doing things that will honor and nurture the blessings received in life. “To gratefully receive creation as a gift is to commit to live faithfully with other creatures so that mutual flourishing can happen” (Wirzba 148). To live faithfully we must share our gratitude for the relationships that we need with others.
