ALL OF THE CREATION SINGS
Psalm 66:1-4
“Shout for joy to God, all the earth!
Sing the glory of His name;
make His praise glorious.
Say to God, “How awesome are Your deeds!
So great is Your power
that Your enemies cringe before You.
All the Earth bows down to You;
they sing praise to You,
they sing the praises of Your name.”
This is one of my favorite psalms because it says that all of Creation praises the Father. The Psalmist says that all the Earth worships God. Every single part of the Earth declares how mighty God is. I love to go out into a forest or go somewhere quiet and hear the birds chirp or the wind howl and hear how the Earth has been offering God 24/7 worship from Genesis 1:1. All of Creation declares His mighty acts and His greatness. It continually speaks of His attributes and attests to His character and existence (Romans 1). There is not a part of Creation that can resist the will of the Father. They must bow down as they behold His face. This is such a glorious truth for me as a disciple of Jesus – to know that my Dad is worshipped in the very Creation I live in every single day. I think it gives such a depth to Creation and a reverence for it. Why would you ever want to destroy or hinder the worship of God? If Creation is truly singing His praises, then that means that we should be in awe of the Creation because we are in awe of the One who created it.
