Outside Reading: Job 37: 14-16

“Listen to this, Job; stop and consider God’s wonders. Do you know how God controls the clouds and makes his lightning flash? Do you know how the clouds hang poised, those wonders of him who has perfect knowledge?

I ran across this passage in Job that encouraged me to never take nature’s beauty for granted. Many times, I have run on the Noland Trail, so focused on finishing my workout, that half the time I never stop to sit at the Lion’s Gate Bridge. I try to remind myself that nature can truly provide an enriching spiritual experience. Thus, when you have the opportunities, stop and consider God’s wonders.
